API Modified is formulated using zinc, graphite, copper, lead as per API specifications in a lithium soap thickened, low sulfur content mineral oil based grease along with inhibitors to prevent degradation due to rust and oxidation API Modified tenaciously adheres to all surfaces, resists water washout, seals and withstand pressures to 10,000 psi. API Modified reduces friction in the makeup of casing and tubing, protects against galling pick-up and wear, resists water and water washout and provides maximum protection to threaded surfaces under corrosive influences.

Description:

• Enhanco Quench H - 303 is a high performance hot Quenching Oil of highly refined base oil fortified with performance chemicals for consistent long lasting performance. It is mainly designed in view of obtaining a desired distortion control and can be operated at a wide range of temperature. The reasonable good speed ensures proper hardness

Product Features:

• Based on selected refined virgin base oil having excellent antioxidant characteristics
• A high and uniform rate of cooling during initial quenching phase
• Faster speed ensures proper and uniform hardness
• Slower in the convection phase to avoid the distortion problems
• Fortified with antioxidant additive to ensure uniform and consistent performance of oil
• Lesser smoking and with high flash point reduces the risk of fire hazard
• Lower viscosity than the conventional hot oils
• Consistent bright finish of the components

Precautions:

• Use of Nitrogen Blanket would enhance the life for this hot oil
• Can be used in Seal Quench Furnace as well as Open Tank. However, life would be longer in SQF

• Use of compressed air for agitation should be strictly avoided as it increases the oxidation rate of the oil

IPOL Quenching Oils

• Heat treatment of ferrous materials helps improve their properties. This is achieved by heating these materials to their critical temperatures and suddenly cooling them by quenching in fluids e.g. water, oil etc. The use of water because of its higher thermal conductivity usually results in surface cracks and therefore mineral oils with their lower cooling rates are preferred. The use of mineral oil also prevents rusting of metal parts giving better dimensional accuracy

• IPOL Quenching Oil 32 X is a general purpose Quenching Oil having low volatility and inherent oxidation stability
• IPOL QUENCHIG OIL 32 XC is accelerated Quenching Oil with special polar additives to give higher hardness during prolonged service
• IPOL Quenching Oil 32 XL is having low volatility and inherent thermal stability. It meets IS 2664/93 medium requirements and has offered a quenching time of 19.8 Secs. in one of the results reported by IIP Dunderhead
• IPOL Quenching Oil 100 XX is high viscosity Quenching Oil suitable for systems without cooling facilities
• IPOL Quenching Oil 150 XXX is a mar quench meeting IS: 4543-1980 (reaffirmed in 1987)
• IPOL Quenching Oil 320 XXX is high viscosity Quenching Oil with a high flash point suitable for quenching articles in a quenching tank without circulation system. This product can also be used for tempering purposes
